On January 6, 2026, Shanghai Cooltech Power Co., Ltd. ("Cooltech Power") and Rolls-Royce Power Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (RRPS, owner of the mtu brand) officially signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement. Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, along with his senior management team, and Ms. Zhou Yahong, President of RRPS Greater China, together with her senior team, attended the signing ceremony.
Mr. Zhou Lulai, President of Cooltech Power, and Mr. Lang Yun, VP of Fixed Application at RRPS Greater China, signed the agreement, witnessed by both leadership teams. Both parties announced they would transcend the traditional supplier-customer relationship, deepening integration across multiple dimensions including technology R&D, product upgrades, market expansion, and service networks. Facing the growing global demand for highly reliable, environmentally friendly, and intelligent power, Cooltech Power actively partners with entities possessing century-old engineering heritage and leading power technologies, aiming to leap from a "standby power equipment manufacturer" to a "leader in intelligent power solutions."
According to the agreement, both sides will establish a joint technology R&D team focused on exploring next-generation power systems. The core of the cooperation will revolve around low-carbon and zero-carbon technologies (such as MTU gas generator sets, MTU hydrogen engines), intelligence, and digitalization (like predictive maintenance and energy management systems). Cooltech Power will deeply integrate RRPS's cutting-edge engine technology with its own strong system integration, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities to co-develop future-oriented high-end product series, delivering unprecedented performance and reliability experiences to customers.
