[Shanghai, China, April 10, 2025] Today, Dr. Jörg Stratmann, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems (MTU), a global leader in power system solutions, visited the Shanghai headquarters of Shanghai Cooltech Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Cooltech Power"), accompanied by a delegation of executives from the German headquarters and the China team. Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, along with the senior management team, warmly received the guests. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the achievements of their strategic cooperation, key business progress of their joint venture Shanghai Cooltech MCP Co., Ltd. (MCP), and future production capacity plans. They also engaged in open dialogues on deepening collaborative fields and promoting technological innovation and sustainable development.

During the talks, Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, reviewed the long-standing cooperative history between the two companies and presented the business breakthroughs achieved by Cooltech Power and the MCP joint venture since its establishment. As the core platform for the MTU-Cooltech partnership in China, MCP leverages MTU's cutting-edge power technologies and Cooltech Power's localized manufacturing advantages. It has steadily increased its market share in high-end generator sets and backup power for data centers. Following the milestone of its 1,000th unit roll-off on January 11, 2024, MCP's production capacity has reached new heights, successfully expanding into emerging markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Dr. Jörg Stratmann, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, highly praised the operational results of Cooltech Power and the joint venture. He stated, "The interaction between our senior managements further deepens our close partnership. MTU emphasizes product performance and quality, positioning itself on high performance and high standards. Cooltech's market positioning aligns with this, using high-quality products to serve high-end and critical segments such as communications and data centers. Both sides value the partnership, team building, and investment in product R&D, reflecting shared corporate values."

Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, emphasized, "The core values of MTU and Cooltech Power are highly aligned, making us excellent partners. We firmly believe in the potential of the Chinese market and the global data center market. Although facing certain uncertainties currently – particularly volatile US tariff policies – we remain confident. We will continue to strengthen team building, increase R&D investment, and while solidifying our presence in the Chinese market, we will intensify efforts to explore overseas markets. We plan to accelerate the integration of MTU's global supply chain resources with localized service networks to jointly expand into infrastructure markets, including data centers, in countries along the Belt and Road Initiative."
