Volvo Group Vice President and Volvo Penta CEO Visits Cooltech Power

On June 1st, Mrs. Mellquist Heléne, Vice President of the Volvo Group and CEO of Volvo Penta, along with a delegation including Mr. Norrgren Hannes, President of the Volvo Penta Industrial Engine Business Unit; Mr. Martinsson Dan, CFO of the Volvo Penta Industrial Engine Business Unit; Mr. Boberg Daniel, Global Business Development Director of Volvo Penta; Mr. Qiu Minghui, President of Volvo Penta China; and Mr. Miao Guangbao, Sales Director of Volvo Penta China, visited Cooltech Power. Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, and Mr. Zhou Lulai, President, along with relevant teams, warmly received the guests.

Before the meeting began, the delegation led by Mrs. Mellquist Heléne, CEO of Volvo Penta, toured the company's multimedia exhibition hall, training classrooms, library, production workshops, testing center, hybrid power station, and other facilities. They spoke highly of the company's safe and friendly working environment and production sites.
The talks were conducted in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Mr. Xie Songfeng, Chairman of Cooltech Power, pointed out that this year marks the 20th anniversary of Shanghai Cooltech's operation and also the 25th anniversary of the cooperation between Cooltech Power (founded in Guangdong in 1998) and Volvo Penta. The very first generator set sold by the company was equipped with a Volvo Penta engine, which is still in use by a customer in Tianjin. Over 25 years of cooperation, more than 6,000 generator sets equipped with Volvo Penta engines have been sold. He expressed the hope for close cooperation in new products and markets in the future, jointly exploring the new energy market. Mr. Zhou Lulai, President of Cooltech Power, stated that over the years, Volvo Penta has won the trust of global customers, including those in China, with its excellent product quality and after-sales service. Volvo Penta's corporate values of "Safety, Efficiency, and Environmental Care" align perfectly with Cooltech's philosophy and represent the company's long-standing commitment to providing products and services for its customers and society.

Mrs. Mellquist Heléne, CEO of Volvo Penta, expressed her sincere thanks to the Cooltech Power team for their warm reception and great pleasure in the long-standing cooperation with Cooltech. To achieve the Volvo Group's 2040 target of zero carbon emissions, Volvo Penta is also developing new energy products, such as hybrid power systems, lithium battery systems, biofuel engines, and hydrogen fuel engines, and she hopes for increased cooperation between the two parties in these areas.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed how to reduce engine costs, China's Non-Road Stage IV emission standards, hydrogen fuel cells, mobile energy storage vehicles, and other topics. They expressed the desire to further strengthen cooperation in the field of new energy in the future, jointly contributing actively to global carbon emission reduction and ultimately achieving zero carbon emissions.
